LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Golden Knights earned a crucial point, but failed to grab the second in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday.
Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard scored off a faceoff with 1:50 remaining in overtime.
The Knights (32-26-15) now trail the Oilers by two points for second place in the Pacific Division with nine games remaining and lead the Los Angeles Kings by three points for third place.
The Knights failed to score on a 4-on-3 power play before Bouchard’s goal.
Captain Mark Stone scored twice for his first goals since Feb. 5, and Ivan Barbashev scored a game-tying goal in the third period.
Adin Hill finished with 25 saves.
