OXNARD, Calif. — The Dallas Cowboys and star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams have agreed on a three-year contract extension worth $105.9 million in a deal that locks him in with the team through the 2030 season, sources confirm to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. NFL Network was the first to report the deal.

The extension officially kicks in with the start of the 2028 season, as he had two years remaining on his existing deal. In total, Williams will be making $153.15 million over the next five seasons with $101 million guaranteed.

The agreement comes just two days after Williams’ agent, Nicole Lynn of Klutch Sports, made an appearance at Cowboys training camp in Oxnard in what allowed as an accelerator for contract talks. Now, Williams’ long-term future is locked in with Dallas.

Acquired hours before the trade deadline last season in a trade with the New York Jets, Williams has made four Pro Bowls and has been named to one All-Pro first team. He is expected to be an integral piece of any possible improvement on the defensive side of the ball in 2026 and beyond.

At the start of training camp, Williams affirmed that his new team is where he wants to be for the foreseeable future.

“For sure, especially being here with these guys,” Williams said. “We got a phenomenal group, a phenomenal staff. It’s unbelievable. To have guys you can call and lean on like [former Cowboys Hall of Famer] DeMarcus Ware, it’s unbelievable.”

Williams becomes the third defensive tackle to get a major contract this offseason, joining Jalen Carter of the Philadelphia Eagles and Jeffery Simmons of the Tennessee Titans.

The extension opens up as much as $15.56 million for the Cowboys’ cap space in 2026, allowing them to take on a bigger contract before the start of the season.
