Chiefs players weren't all business at practice Thursday -- and that pleased Andy Reid

NEW ORLEANS — The Chiefs are on the cusp of making NFL history, but judging by their practices this week, the players don’t appear to be feeling the pressure.
A pool report from Luke Johnson of the Pro Football Writers of America said the Chiefs had a crisp practice Thursday but also mixed in some fun.
Coach Andy Reid liked to see it as Kansas City hopes to get the first Super Bowl three-peat.
“They know that it’s a privilege and an honor to be here, but at the same time they want to make sure they enjoy each day,” Reid said in the pool report. “That’s the thing you probably see. This group has kind of been that way the whole year; it’s a unique group that way.”
The recap of the practice noted some Chiefs players sang along to the song, “The Kids Aren’t Alright,” by The Offspring, when the tune began playing on the speakers at Tulane’s Yulman Stadium.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had just one incomplete pass while working against the scout defense during the 75-minute session.
“They’re fired up,” Reid said, per the report. “The closer you get here, the more they just want to get out and play. They polished some things up, which was important.”
Injury report
The Chiefs’ injury report included Mahomes (ankle), right tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) and punter Matt Araiza (illness). However, all three were full participants in Thursday’s practice session.
The Eagles’ injury report listed three players as limited: Defensive end Brandon Graham (triceps), receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and offensive lineman Nick Gates (groin).
The following players were full participants in practice for Philly, per the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane: Defensive tackle Jalen Carter (illness), running back Kenny Gainwell (concussion), linebacker Zack Baun (groin), receiver Britain Covey (neck), guard Landon Dickerson (knee), tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle), center Cam Jurgens (back) and tight end C.J. Uzomah (abdomen).
