Pistons open three-game road trip with 109-107 win vs. Nuggets

DENVER — The Detroit Pistons opened their three-game West Coast road trip with a 109-107 victory over the Denver Nuggets,Tuesday night inside Ball Arena.

Tim Hardaway Jr. (14 points) knocked down his fourth 3-point field goal of the game to cut the Pistons' once 16-point lead to one (103-102) with 56 seconds left. However, Duncan Robinson, who started the game shooting 0 of 8 from the field, made his only field goal on the next possession to end the Nuggets' momentum.

Cade Cunningham led the way with 22 points and 11 assists, while Tobias Harris added 22 points and eight rebounds. Jalen Duren finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.

 

Jamal Murray overcame a subpar shooting performance to lead Denver with 24 points and 10 assists. Jonas Valančiūnas added a double-double of 16 rebounds and 16 points.
