Dashcam records emu running down middle of the road

(UPI) A driver in the Australian Outback captured video of a uniquely local traffic hazard -- an emu running down the middle of a road.
The dashboard camera footage, recorded Nov. 25 in Menindee, New South Wales, shows an emu dashing down the middle of a dirt road in front of the vehicle.
The emu runs down the middle of the road for more than half a minute before veering off to parts unknown.
"We live in the Outback of Australia. Emus, kangaroos, wild pigs, goats, foxes, iguanas, and eagles are everywhere. You try to miss them like the one in the clip, but some are not so lucky," the filmer wrote.
