So what if Obama has invited certain "celebrities" to the White House? The ones he has invited HELP PEOPLE!!!
Do any of you talking heads remember that in the first few months of the Bush/Cheney Administration, Cheney invited CEO's and attornys of the oil industry, and the biggest polluters of the environment, to Washington, in closed door meetings, to re-write environmental legislation that George Bush signed into law.
I have become so sick and tired of the lies and seeming "amnesia" of the conservative right.
So, I want to ask this question of you talking heads on this forum... How, exactly, has defending that cr*p benefitted you? And just how do you believe Obama is going to make things worse?
Do you think that we should give control back to the Republicans so you and the country can get poorer? Or do you still think that the Republicans are going to help you?
I think I know the answer!

How about some of you Republican talking heads coming up with something new? How about something new instead of the same old cr*p that messed things up so bad in the first place? What would you suggest the government do? We already know that Republican policies caused all the problems we have now. So, are you all suggesting that we continue to go with what we already know caused all the problems, and make all the problems so much worse that it causes another world war with everybody fighting over control of the resources that are left, while the oligarchs continue to line their pockets with the profits made from the sweat and blood of the poor? You people don't seem to understand that that is where Republican policies are leading the world, and are blinded by the lies and deceit of the people who have created the mess in the first place.
Barack Obama is the hope of intelligent, educated people who believe that there is a better way than the "status quo".
There is a reason why Obama has met with Gen. McCrystal only twice. Do any of you talking heads remember Colin Powell, clearly defined goals for "victory", and an "exit strategy"? The Republicans have none of that because the "goal" was to make as much money as possible from Iraqi oil, with the "war on terrorism" in Afganistan as a pretense. Oil in Iraq, Al Queda in Afganistan. Which "war" got the most troops under Bush/Cheney? Iraq of course, because that is where the oil is. Do any of you talking heads remember $4.00 gasoline? Who do you suppose profited from that? Oil in Iraq: 140,000 troops. Al Queda in Afganistan: 30,000 troops. So, do the math and shut up!
Obama is trying to fix the economy and restore our position in the world as a "team" player", keep our casualties as low as possible and make the world a better place than Bush left it. We are going to have to give him more time.

I have a suggestion for all of you Republican naysayers about Obama and the economy...
How about if we give Obama a little more time than 10 months to try to figure out what to do? The Republicans had eight years of control of the White House, the House of Rep's and the Senate to screw up not only our economy, but the world economy too, and start two wars with no "exit strategy" in place. The Republicans had free rein under Bush/Cheney and Republican control, and they brought us, and the world, to the brink of world wide depression. What makes you talking heads think that is a good thing? Do any of you ever study history? Have any of you ever studied what brought about the Great Depression?
Do any of you remember that in the first nine months of the Bush/Cheney Adminisration, Bush spent most of that time on his ranch in Texas playing? And when we were attacked on 9/11/2001 he was reading a children's book to an elementary school class in his brother's state of Florida? And when he as told (it was all over the news channels and networks) he looked like a deer in the headlights, completely lost about what to do next, so he just kept on reading to his fellow children. Three thousand Americans died that day, and during the first months of the Bush/Cheney Administration many "red flags" were brought to the attention of the FBI and CIA about terrorists taking flying lessons in flying schools around the country, but those reports were dismissed as insignificant... Do any of you remember the facts of very recent history?
Do any of you remember Vietnam and Westmorland's call for "more troops, more troops, more troops...? Do any of you remember the news- reels and reports of Americans on the roof of the American Embassy in Saigon scampering to get out as the North Vietnamese overran Saigon? Eleven years and almost 60,000 American lives lost on that debacle. Have you ever considered the possibility that Obama knows history?

He is such a dazzle-head in love with his ego, I don't think he has a clue to the economy: Where it is and how to fix it.

I wonder how Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt, Ophra and the head of the Black Panther Party have helped with his priority...all visitors to the White House this past year.
YET, two face-to-face meetings in nine months with our General who is trying to work through the war in Afghanistan. I'm not clear on his priorities.
