By Jae-Ha Kim, Tribune Content Agency on

Q. What's the most important thing you've learned from your travels?

A. That I am a citizen of the world and I won't ever stop traveling. I have also learned that life is so short and I have to eat all of the tasty sandwiches on the smorgasbord we call Earth.

Q. Where are your favorite weekend getaways?

A. Turks, Costa Rica, Mexico, Miami -- anywhere warm. I'm always chasing tan lines.

Q. I heard you met your husband overseas?

A. Yes. I met (artist) Derek (Kaplan) on Mykonos, the Greek Island.

Q. Would that count as one of your most romantic destinations?

A. Yes! We had some pretty hot nights there. Also, Paris, St. Lucia, Bora Bora and the Maldives. Those four places are dear to me, too.

Q. If you've ever gone away for the holidays, which was the best trip?

A. I do typically travel for the holidays and Sweden is always the best, because Santa Claus is Swedish. There is snow and lit candles everywhere and I love the feeling of being surrounded by the warmth of family.
