No matter the destination, make the most of it and experience it on its own terms, be adventurous and be prepared to be surprised by all the wonderful things in front of you.
Q. Where have you traveled to that really stood out?
A. South Korea. The warmth and welcoming of the people there moved me to my core.
Q. What are your favorite hotels?
A. Those five-star hotels on the beach with 24-hour room service and large pools!
Q. What are your five favorite cities?
A. Anywhere in Italy, Nice (France), Minneapolis, New York and the Bay Area (in general).
Q. Where have you traveled to that most reminded you of home?
A. The Twin Cities, Minnesota. It's got just the right amount of city and suburb, bustling and breathtakingly green -- at least when it's not winter.
