GLASGOW, Scotland (UPI) -- Drivers dealing with heavy winds in Scotland found themselves stunned by an additional morning commute obstacle -- a giant inflatable duck rolling down the road.

The duck was apparently ripped loose from its tethers Saturday at the Peter Vardy CarStore, located near the Braehead shopping center in Glasgow, and ended up tumbling its way down the road.

Witness Mark Duncan posted a video to Facebook from another nearby car dealership showing the giant duck balloon rolling down the street.

Mikey McKenna posted a photo to Twitter of the faux-waterfowl blocking the road. He said the photo was snapped by friend Martin Dobson, who was driving on the road when the duck made an unexpected appearance.

One confused driver tweeted to Peter Vardy CarStore after her vehicle was struck by the wayward duck.

"Your giant inflatable duck has just hit my car in the middle of the road in Glasgow!" Andrea McCall tweeted.

The company indicated it would help with any damage to the car.

"Hi Andrea, I'm sorry to hear that our duck hit your car. Please can you DM me your details and we will call you back," the company's help account tweeted in response to McCall.

The Saturday morning situation was reminiscent of an incident Sept. 14 in Fuzhou, China, where a giant inflatable moon on display for the Mid-Autumn Festival came loose and rolled through traffic on a busy road.
