Photos show giant crocodile devouring another crocodile

QUEENSLAND, Australia (UPI) -- A crocodile at a national park in Australia got some attention after attacking and eating a smaller crocodile.
Photos posted to Facebook show a giant crocodile at Lakefield National Park in Queensland slamming a smaller crocodile down into the water and proceeding to devour it.
"This is nature at its toothiest and clawiest!" the post on the Queensland National Parks Facebook page read.
While crocodiles typically feast on a variety of other species, cannibalism does occur occasionally, especially among territorial males.
The staff at Queensland National Park took the opportunity to promote awareness of the creatures while visiting their parks.
"It happened just a couple of hundred metres from our warning sign, so it's a good reminder to remember to be croc wise in croc country," they wrote.
