'Sexy Ebola Containment Suit' Halloween costume courts controversy

BANNING, Calif. (UPI) -- A California company unveiled a "Sexy Ebola Containment Suit" Halloween costume days after a similar item was revealed to be a hoax.
BrandsOnSale, which calls itself a "Unique Costume Shop and more" on its website, is marketing a $59.99 Sexy Ebola Containment Suit including a white dress, face shield, breathing mask, latex gloves and safety goggles. Pairs of knee-high yellow rubber boots are being sold separately.
The costume has proven controversial online, with some calling it tasteless and others describing it as harmless humor.
The website started selling the costume days after images of a "Sexy Ebola Nurse" costume online were revealed to be a hoax using a Sexy Breaking Bad hazmat suit costume.
The Ebola-themed costume is not the first piece of Halloween garb to raise controversy this year, as Ray Rice costume pictures posted on social media depicted Halloween revelers in blackface simulating acts of domestic violence.
Walmart also apologized this week when its website was found to have a section for plus-sized "fat girl costumes."
