Grandmother writes thank-you note after speeding ticket

BOISE, Idaho (UPI) -- An Idaho grandmother was so happy with the way that a state trooper acted when he pulled her over for speeding that she sent a thank-you note.
Trooper Mike Nielson allegedly caught Tana Baumler going almost 95 mph in a 75 mph zone while she was on her way to a wedding. When she was pulled over, Baumler's husband and two granddaughters were with her.
Here's the letter:
"Dear Idaho State Police, Recently I was on vacation with my grandchildren and was pulled over for speeding. Officer Mike Nielson made it a good experience for my grandchildren by talking with them calmly and giving them stickers. He didn't leave me out and I got my very own STICKER SHOCK :) Thanks for a great attitude."
The grateful granny said that the 4-year-old in the car "wasn't scared."
Nielson did end up issuing Baumler a $150 ticket.
"(I) usually just talk to the kids," Nielson told KBOI. Kids are always really inquisitive when the guy with the big hat walks up to their car on the side of the highway so sometimes they are a little nervous.
