MALDEN, Mass. (UPI) -- A bearded bank robbery suspect was nabbed in Massachusetts after he allegedly attempted to pull off a heist Thursday while dressed as a woman.

According to reports, the suspect attempted to rob the USAlliance Federal Credit Union in Malden while wearing a wig, dress and bright red shoes.

It's not clear if the suspect was able to get away with any cash, but a K-9 unit was quickly called to the area and local police began a manhunt.

The Massachusetts State Police were also called in.

The suspect was tracked down at a nearby home and arrested.
