The Opportunity of Pisces Season

Holiday Mathis on

It happens all the time. Superstars get overlooked. The passersby rush past the musical genius playing on the sidewalk. The future bestseller sits at the bottom of a slush pile. Groundbreaking work is met with skepticism or ignored. It all presents an opportunity for the intuitive and aware. Be on the look-out for the good stuff. Be the one who sees it, senses it, lives it.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). If you suspect that you're at odds with yourself, take the time to adjust your thinking. Once you set your mind on the belief that you really can experience the fulfillment and joy you desire, your reality will organize around the vision.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). At first, an enterprise will seem too expensive (in money, energy or time) to get involved with, but don't be too easily deterred. When you investigate further, you'll find other methods and arrangements are possible.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). If you're doing anything that is contributing to a negative dynamic, you'll figure it out. But you may have to pull out of the situation completely to understand your part in it. Don't strain to see it. Time will give you clarity.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Though you wear a smile and have a kind thought for all you meet, you privately keep your expectations in check. "Never rely on the glory of the morning nor the smiles of your mother-in-law." -- Japanese proverb

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). When you were a child imagining your adult life, you had ideas about what it would be that may seem funny to you now. The vision has changed along the way, but the old imaginings still have something to teach that will bring a moment of enlightenment today.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). It is said that the calm comes before the storm, but it can also go the other way. Today the excitement comes first -- not necessarily storm-like, but definitely the winds of change will blow your hair. This will be followed by a calm stretch.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You'll meet interesting people and stumble upon fascinating topics because you look in places others wouldn't think to go. Your search terms are unusual, and your questions are like keys that unlock new worlds.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). How do you know that your dreams are not delusions? A better question for today is: so what if they are? Preposterous ideas become regular, daily realities all the time. Progress runs on delusions.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Give yourself the time and resources you need to present yourself the way you want to. If you get it right the first time, it's a fluke. These things are experiments. The details will make a difference.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). When you think about the relationship you'd like to have with someone, the vision is as much an act of creativity as any other art form, and thereby worthy of brainstorming, daydreaming, idea-boarding and whatever else you can do to clarify the vision.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Maybe it seems like an odd thing to think about, but you'll find yourself considering your position in a group and assessing the status and power you're working with. Being conscious of such interplay gives you an advantage.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Everything you do with others today will be a dance. Friendship, commerce, self-development, love, work... it's all about moving in to support and be supported and then backing off to execute independent moves.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY. Seemingly disparate ideas will form an arrow pointing to your next winning endeavor. You'll attract new people, form a dream team of new and old friends and execute a brilliant plan. More highlights: A unique and lovely and constant answer to the call of your heart, an influx of money that gives you ease and freedom and two wild excursions. Virgo and Capricorn adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 6, 20, 28, 13 and 28.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Jenna Fischer plays Ms. Heron in the new "Mean Girls" film based on the Broadway musical, based on the "Mean Girls" film of 2004. Whether the ingenue of "The Office" or a divorcee in "Splitting Up Together" or directing and producing, Fischer embodies the versatility Pisces are known for. Mercury, Venus and Jupiter in Aquarius speak to her charitable nature, shown through animal rescue missions and more.
