Here’s a game in the really sharp Schliemann Defense to the Ruy Lopez. Now you may see the first move, but be very careful on your follow ups. It started this way--1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 f5 4.Bxc6 dxc6 5.0–0 fxe4 6.Nxe5 Nf6 7.d3 Bd6 8.Nc4 See Diagram.

The tricky part of this is Black’s 10th move. The routine move loses. 8...Bxh2+ 9.Kxh2 Ng4+ 10.Kg1 10.Kg3 h5 11.Qe1 h4+ 12.Kh3 0–0 13.dxe4 (13.Qxe4 Nxf2+ 14.Kh2 Nxe4) Qd4 and Black is better 10...0–0! 10...Qh4? 11.Bf4! 11.g3 Qd5 12.Kg2 Qh5 13.Rh1 Rxf2+ 14.Kg1 Rh2 15.Qxg4 Rxh1+ 16.Kf2 Bxg4 and mate follows shortly.
