Jeff Lynne's ELO announces 27-date farewell tour

"Mr. Blue Sky" is saying goodbye.

Jeff Lynne's ELO is heading out on its final tour, promoters announced Monday.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster. Pre-sales start at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The band's 27-date "The Over and Out" tour kicks off in Palm Desert, California, on Aug. 24 and wraps Oct. 25 in Los Angeles.

ELO, the legendary '70s rock outfit whose hits include "Livin' Thing," "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Evil Woman," was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017.
