Pa. teen invents magnetic locker paper

DUBOIS, Pa. (UPI) -- A 16-year-old Pennsylvania girl has invented magnetic locker wallpaper that can be used to decorate teenagers' school lockers, her father says.

Paul Buckel of DuBois said his daughter, Sarah, created the product while planning her own locker design, and now it's being manufactured for the public. About $1 million worth of the magnetic wallpaper has been sold to date, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Saturday.

"As soon as she told me, I thought that it was going to be great," Buckel said of his daughter's creation. "I just knew it was going to be something."

Buckel, whose company manufactures magnets, said Sarah's locker-enhancing wallpaper, which retails for $9.99 a roll, has allowed his family to make money during troubling economic times.

"The economy stinks right now," Buckel told the Post-Gazette. "Friends have lost business this year in back-to-school (products) and we've sold over a million."
