The Vegas Golden Knights overcame a parade to the penalty box and defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday.

Center Tomas Hertl scored his second power-play goal of the game with 34.1 seconds remaining, and the Knights (10-5-2) picked up a needed win on the second night of a back-to-back.

Rookie forward Trevor Connelly scored the game-tying goal for the second straight game, and goaltender Adin Hill finished with 23 saves.

The Knights were called for six minor penalties, but they killed all six Pittsburgh power plays. That included a five-on-three kill for 1 minute, 22 seconds in the final minutes.

Penguins forward Tommy Novak was called for tripping with 1:17 remaining, which led to Hertl’s game-winning goal.
