NEW YORK — Former Ranger and MSG Network personality Ron Duguay is showing signs of improvement after collapsing in his family’s Florida home Friday.

The 69-year-old retired NHL star remained hospitalized Monday. His daughter said he had a relatively good day.

“A little update on my dad: he had a better day today,” Shay Thomas posted on Instagram Monday night.

Duguay who’s battling stage four colon cancer, was tended to by paramedics at the start of the weekend after losing consciousness. Thomas said that her dad suffered facial injuries including lost teeth when he fell. Doctors are said to have discovered that he had an ulcer and internal bleeding, as well as being severely dehydrated.

A few days of rest appeared to have done some good for the former center, who led the Rangers in scoring and played in the NHL All-Star Game 1982.

“He was able to eat a little, get up and take a short walk, which felt like a huge win after the last several days,” Shay reported.

“He’s still in the hospital and has another night there as of now while the doctors continue to monitor him, but we are grateful for every small step forward,” she added.

She thanked supporter for their prayers and asked for more.

A GoFundMe page to pay Duguay’s medical costs says the Canadian travels from Florida to Orange County, California, on a regular basis for medical treatments. Shay didn’t say where her father collapsed last week, but video posted to Instagram shows first responders in St. Johns County, Fla. taking him away by ambulance.

His fundraising campaign has raised nearly $163,000.

Duguay was an MSG Network hockey analyst from 2007 to 2018. He’s dating 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
