Golden Knights head to Olympic break on high note after beating Kings

LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Golden Knights erupted for four goals in a five-minute span in the first period and cruised to a 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday night.
The Knights (27-16-14) swept their home-and-home back-to-back after defeating the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 on Wednesday.
Mark Stone had a goal and two assists, Jack Eichel and Pavel Dorofeyev had a goal and an assist each, and Mitch Marner scored all in a span of 5:20 to give the Knights a 4-0 lead at 13:49 of the opening frame.
Adin Hill finished with 30 saves in his best outing since returning from his three-month absence due to a lower-body injury.
The Knights, with two straight wins after losing seven of their previous eight, head into the Winter Olympics break with a four-point lead on the Edmonton Oilers for first place in the Pacific Division.
