LAS VEGAS — The Golden Knights lost their third straight game in a 4-2 loss to the Nashville Predators at T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday.
After starting their four-game homestand with a 7-2 win against the San Jose Sharks, the Knights lost the next three and were outscored 14-9.
Goaltender Akira Schmid made 15 saves, as the Knights (17-10-11) lost for the sixth time in seven games. They have allowed at least four goals in five of those games.
The Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from captain Mark Stone and defenseman Ben Hutton, but Nashville answered with three goals in five minutes in the first period to take a 3-2 lead.
Nashville winger Steven Stamkos scored his 600th career goal at 15:37 of the first on a one-timer from the left circle on the power play.
Stamkos became the third active player to reach the milestone, joining Sidney Crosby and all-time goals leader Alex Ovechkin.
Knights center Jack Eichel missed his seventh straight game with a lower-body injury. He was a full participant in practice Tuesday and was labeled a game-time decision.
Eichel, the Knights’ leading scorer with 41 points in 31 games, has not played since Dec. 13.
