The Timberwolves fell on Halloween night, 121-111, to Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

The Wolves came in at a disadvantage, not only missing Anthony Edwards (right knee surgery) but also Rudy Gobert, who was a late scratch with low back spasms.

When facing the ultra-height of Wembanyama, having Gobert is a critical part of the game plan. Though it should be noted that youngster Joan Beringer had one of his more impressive performances starting in place of Gobert.

Beringer finished with 12 points and six rebounds.

But it was Ayo Dosunmu who led the way for the Wolves. He had 27 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals in the loss.

Wembanyama finished with 43 points, seven rebounds, four assists and six blocks. He was flanked by Dillon Harper and De'Aaron Fox who had 25 and 22 points, respectively.
