NEW YORK — For the sixth consecutive season, Liberty forward Breanna Stewart is voted in as an All-Star Game starter.

The league announced the honor Thursday, giving Stewart eight total All-Star Game appearances in her 10-year WNBA career.

Stewart is now set to join a list of first-timers and seasoned All-Stars when the exhibition takes place at Chicago’s United Center on July 25.

Rookie sensation Oliva Miles (Lynx) and Jessica Shepard (Wings) are representing their teams for the first time after stellar starts to the 2026 season in a new environment. The Indiana Fever trio of Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are headed to the festivities together for the third consecutive season (Mitchell’s fourth).

Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson is tied with Stewart with eight total All-Star Game appearances, the most among 2026 starters and tied for seventh-most in WNBA history.

Natasha Howard (Lynx), Paige Bueckers (Wings) and Gabby Williams (Valkyries) round out the rest of the All-Star starters.

Mitchell, Shepard and Williams — all veterans with at least six years of WNBA experience — are starters for the very first time. Miles, this year’s No. 2 pick out of TCU, got the nod after starting the season with 18.7 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Fans account for 50% of the voting for All-Star Game starters. The remaining 50% is split between votes from all current players and a media panel. The format of four guards and six frontcourt players are used throughout the process.

Fifteen head coaches will select 12 reserves to fill out the roster (three guards, five frontcourt players and four players at either position). The league is scheduled to announce those results on July 7.

Stewart earned the nod posting averages of 19.2 points (ninth in WNBA), 8.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks across 32.6 minutes per game. She earned Commissioner’s Cup MVP for her efforts in a 93-85 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday.

She’s also been the best player on a Liberty team that entered Thursday with a 12-8 record, 3.5 games behind top-seeded Minnesota Lynx.

Stewart has been an All-Star in every season she’s spent with the Liberty. Before arriving in 2023, Stewart spent six seasons with the Seattle Storm. She won a title with the franchise in 2018 and represented the squad four times in the All-Star Game.

Stewart’s Liberty teammate Jonquel Jones is in the running to represent the team next month in Chicago as a reserve.
