Aces rally comes up short in 93-85 Commissioner's Cup final loss to Liberty

Sabrina Ionescu scored a season-high 26 points and the New York Liberty held off rallies by the short-handed Las Vegas Aces, winning, 93-85, in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup title game Tuesday night in New York.
The Aces were playing without center A’ja Wilson, who was nursing an ankle injury. Jackie Young sparked Las Vegas’ second-half comeback and finished with a game-high 31 points and seven assists.
Ionescu added five rebounds and five assists for the Liberty, who took the lead for good with a 10-0 run midway through final quarter.
Breanna Stewart added 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Liberty.
The victory gave New York its second Commissioner’s Cup title, making the Liberty the first franchise to win multiple Cup championships.
