Draymond Green is never short on opinions. As they say, the guy knows how to keep it real.

In his latest edition of The Draymond Green Show, the Warriors star addressed the topic that has been on fans’ minds since coach Steve Kerr pulled in Green and Steph Curry for a group hug near the end of the team’s season-ending loss at Phoenix in a play-in game Friday.

Was this Kerr’s moment to say goodbye after coaching the team to four championships and many more iconic moments over a dozen seasons?

Green thinks so.

“I’ve never been so uncertain since early in my career on what happens next,” Green said on his podcast. “But I am truly at a loss now because you just don’t know what direction will be what. Steph, myself, Steve shared a moment in what could be our last time playing with Steve as our coach. I’m happy we got to share that moment, and he didn’t miss the moment. It was a big deal.

“I hope he’s our coach next year. Do you want my opinion? I think not. Just because it just feels like that. It felt like that was it. I also hope I’m on this team next year. We also don’t know that.

“Man, if it was, what a run it’s been. So lucky to have had for 12 years Steve as my coach. We shall see. I don’t know. Got to stay ready for whatever it is and roll with the punches.”

Kerr, 60, doesn’t have a contract for next season and said he plans to meet with team owner Joe Lacob and general manager Mike Dunleavy in the next week or two to discuss his future.

Green, 36, has a $27.7 million player option for the 2026-27 season.
