SEATTLE (UPI) -- There will be something else besides 95 mph fastballs heating up the air at Safeco Field when the Seattle Mariners take on the Houston Astros on Thursday, May 22.

The Mariners organization has decided to host a "Salute to Sriracha Night" -- possibly in at attempt to spice up a matchup against the worst team in the American League -- that will give fans the chance to honor America's new favorite condiment.

The $25 ticket package for the event includes main level seating, a Mariners Sriracha t-shirt, and one Sriracha menu item from a special concession area in Section 106. The team will be serving up Sriracha cream cheese hot dogs, Sriracha garlic fries and Sriracha milkshakes at the game.

"We love Sriracha hot sauce in the office," Mariners senior marketing director Gregg Greene told MyNorthwest. We're always borrowing each others' bottles. We know people think it's cool and has some cache and we thought 'why don't we do a night to celebrate Sriracha at the ballpark'?

According to Greene, the team expects Section 106 to be a "happy, hot section."
