Health and Beauty Tip -- When to Brush Wet Hair

Don't start brushing your hair right when you get out of the shower. Get out the majority of the tangles with your fingers first. When your hair is about 80% dry, that's the best time to start. Don't start brushing until your fingers go through your hair easily without hitting tangles.

Another Way

Another good way is to comb your hair with a wide tooth comb or a pick and start from the bottom up. comb about 2" from the bottom and get out the tangles then move up 2 more inches until you can comb from top to bottom and have no tangles. Combs are better than brushes, they will not break wet hair near as bad! =)

Brushing Wet Hair

Better yet... use your vented plastic brush or a wide-toothed comb to distribute your hair conditioner and de-tangle while you are still in the shower; rinse carefully, while still combing or brushing, without using your hands to rub or scrub and mussing-up your hair. You will come out of the shower with tangle-free hair, ready to style.
