SALTILLO, Mexico (UPI) -- U.S. transportation investigators are
assisting Mexican authorities in determining what caused a cargo jet
to crash, killing a U.S. pilot.
The co-pilot was severely burned in the crash west of Monterrey,
Mexico, CNN reported Monday. No other injuries were reported.
The National Transportation Safety Board said it sent a team of
investigators to help the Mexican government in its probe of Sunday's
accident.
The jet, which was carrying auto parts, was near the airport grounds
in Saltillo, Mexico, in clear weather when the crash occurred, said
Donald McNeff, vice president of USA Jet Airlines.
