Abducted California boy found in Mexico
Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said Ryan Ramos, who had been the subject of a statewide Amber alert, was left at the Mormon church by his father Sunday morning and has since been taken from the U.S. embassy to El Paso, Texas, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported Monday. He was expected to be reunited with his family in Southern California.
The boy's father, Lonnie Ramos, 46, is alleged to have kidnapped the boy after shooting his estranged wife, Ryan's mother, in the face and abdomen during a custody exchange at Ramos's home.
Amormino said Gynnae Ramos, 41, was initially hospitalized in critical condition but her status had since been upgraded to good condition.
"The only part of the puzzle that is left is the whereabouts of Lonnie Ramos," Amormino said.
