Beer ads star 'Ho White' and dwarfs
The Foundry, brewers of Jamieson's Raspberry Ale, said the "Ho White" campaign, based on characters from Disney's 1937 animated film, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," is designed to convince consumers the beverage is "anything but sweet," The (Sydney, Australia) Daily Telegram reported Friday.
The campaign, which includes advertisements online and in bars, features "Ho White" blowing smoke rings while in bed with dwarfs the company named "Filthy," "Smarmy" and "Randy."
But the ads have drawn the attention of unhappy Disney Co. officials, the Telegram said. The Foundry said it has had "a little bit of contact" with Disney officials about the Snow White likeness used in the campaign.
