Judge tosses hair dye suit
Charlotte Feeney of Stratford claimed in her suit against L'Oreal Inc. that the wrong color dye bottle must have been put in the product's box because her hair turned dark brown when she attempted to touch up her "naturally blond" hair five years ago, The (Bridgeport) Connecticut Post reported Wednesday.
"I was mentally and physically in shock," Feeney claimed in court documents. "I was sick to my stomach, I had headaches, I don't like myself, I stay home more than ever in my life, I wear hats most of the time."
Feeney said she ended up going to the doctor for anxiety and was put on
medications for depression.
The suit contends the hair color industry has a legal duty to put warning labels on their products to inform consumers that mistakes such as boxes containing the wrong color are possible.
However, Superior Court Judge Richard Gilardi threw out the lawsuit Monday.
"The plaintiff submitted no facts, no opinions and no standards to substantiate either of the allegations," he said.

I wish more judges had as much sense as this one. It is rediculus the things people sue for these days. It causes the prices on many things we buy to go up when they win.
