You can buy locally produced honey at the health food store (not Whole Food Company). My friend (i know it sounds gross) puts honey in his coffee, and is a high-volume user. The local health food store here has unprocessed honey, and it's always labeled with whatever flower it came from, and the taste is subtle and delicious. Usually it's wildflower, but last week he got some honey that the bees made from blueberries. Mmmmm!!! Now we all know not to give honey to babies and kids under two, but in older folks, honey helps with your allergies, but it must be locally produced- the pollens that make you sneeze are local, and so must be the honey. And it's usually not more expensive than the grocery store, AND you are helping your local economy by supporting your farmers close to home. Wal-Mart doesn't need ANY of our honey money!!!

When I was young, we use to be able to buy honeycomb in the grocery store. We would cut a slice with a knife and spread it on bread for a snack. Delicious.

Nowadays, every thing has to be processed til all the nutrients are gone. I try never to buy honey in the store any more. It has no more food value than white sugar - which is the equivalent of poison for the body.

The really weird thing is - honey never spoils. It has been found in Egyptian burial sites and was as safe as the day it was put there.

Big government is literally killing us by requiring that everything be processed before it's allowed to hit the shelves.
