Actually, that's only part of the story. When "Wendy" aka Melinda, got married nearly 20 years ago, I worked for the minister in Columbus, Ohio that performed the ceremony. When Mr. Thomas came to the church he stated, in the course of ensuing conversation, that her younger brother had trouble pronouncing, MELINDA, and he found one he could - Wendy!
BTW, the church was First Community Church/Grandview and the minister was Rev. (Ret.) Jeb S. Magruder (of Watergate fame!) I don't recall the exact year of her marriage, but it would have been 1988 or 1989 as Jeb left Columbus later in 1990.
