DEAR STACY: Whatever happened to Eric Stoltz? -- D.D., Cleveland, Ohio

DEAR D.D.: The 46-year-old actor-director of "The Mask" and "Pulp Fiction" fame might just be busier than ever right now. As an actor, he has the wartime drama, "Fort McCoy" in production, and Gus Van Sant's "Milk" in the can. He stars in the much-anticipated "Caprica," a telepic and back door series pilot prequel to "Battlestar Galactica" that is expected to air on the Sci Fi Channel either late this year or early next. In February, he'll take to the stage in the L.A. Theatre Works production of "Betrayed" by George Packer, (http://www.broadwayworld.com/people/George_Packer) based on the journalist-playwright's original article in The New Yorker about Iraqi translators working with the U.S. Recent years have found Stoltz alternating between on-camera and behind-the-camera duty, as he's directed shows including "Boston Legal" and "Quarterlife" and the forthcoming comedy feature, "Paddyville," a story of Irish Americans in New York City, with Aidan Quinn, Brendan Fehr and Frank McCourt.

DEAR STACY: What song was played after Barack Obama's convention speech? -- Nancy T., Springfield, Mass.

DEAR NANCY: "Only in America" by Brooks & Dunn. The same song was used by George W. Bush and by John Kerry during their campaigns. Said the duo's Kix Brooks in a statement, "Very flattering to know our song crossed parties and potentially inspires all Americans."

DEAR STACY: Please settle a trivia disagreement. I know that Dean Cain played football for Princeton -- as quarterback, I think -- and was signed to a pro team until he got injured. My friend doesn't take Ivy League football seriously, says Cain wouldn't have been a quarterback, and doesn't believe he was ever a pro. How about some information to back me up? -- D.M., Astoria, N.Y.

DEAR D.M.: Honor student Cain played free safety (defensive back) for Princeton. He had a noteworthy career there, setting two NCAA division 1-A records -- for most interceptions in a single season (12 interceptions in a 10 game season) and for highest career per game average in interceptions (22 over 30 games). Cain signed on with the Buffalo Bills after graduating (B.A. in history), but was permanently sidelined by a knee injury he sustained during training. He subsequently turned to acting, and, of course, his career took off when he played the Man of Steel in the 1993-1997 series, "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman."

DEAR STACY: Some time ago, a pre-"Grey's Anatomy" Katherine Heigl starred in a TV movie in which she played the nanny of Hitler as a baby. My co-workers think I'm making it up, but I'm sure I am right. Can you tell me the name of the movie and also, is it available on DVD? -- Kevin G., Torrance, Calif.

DEAR KEVIN: You're talking about an episode of UPN's 2002-2003 revival of "The Twilight Zone" that featured Forest Whitaker as narrator. The complete series was released on DVD in '04.

DEAR STACY: I've seen cast members from "7th Heaven" doing different shows and movies, but not Catherine Hicks. What's she been up to? -- Penny H., Brooklyn, N.Y.

DEAR PENNY: The actress has been doing public appearances and other media work, trying to raise public awareness of the genocide in Darfur in her role as spokesperson for the Catholic Relief Services' efforts in the region. She's continued acting, in the Lifetime TV movie "Poison Ivy: The Secret Society," and in an upcoming independent comedy horror picture, "Callers." And she's devoted to her real-life family -- husband Kevin Yagher, a special effects artist, and daughter Catie, who was born in 1992. The Yaghers live in Bel Air, Calif.

DEAR STACY: Are Helen Hunt and Bonnie Hunt cousins? -- Mike B., New York

DEAR MIKE: No. Despite their mutual surname, the gifted ladies are not related.

DEAR STACY: What's the song used in the Target commercial with the two girls decorating their dorm room? It just lights me up. -- Tracee D., Queens, N.Y.

DEAR TRACEE: That's "Calabria-enur" by Puerto Rican/American R&B singer-songwriter Natasha Ramos.
