Michelle Obama besides her "first time in my adult life I am proud of my country" has said other things which things that reveal her true feelings, " this is a mean country" coming from somebody that went to an Ivy League school and a prestigious law school ( which she did not pay for it) and earning a quarter million dollars a year

I am a retired senior who now lives in seattle and all I can say if that Mccain gets in,we will have to put up with the childish antics of his trophy wife.He only married her because she had the money and from the looks of her,I wouldnt want her to be my friend.She thinks that the whole world centers around her.We have had enough of this behaviour.Lets keep the Heather Mills people out of politics.I do not want her to destroy the values of this country!

We do have freedom of speech, or you wouldn't have been able to write your article...I heard Mrs Obama said, she didn't mean what she said, so I guess the same can be said for Mrs McCain...As for the snide remarks about Mrs McCain, freedom of speech lets you say these things, but usually our inner voice tells us right from wrong....

"Women's rights are human rights". Wives of Presidential candidates have the right to express opinion as their inherent human rights vested to them by the Constitution and international human rights instruments. If Mrs Obama had already clarified that she did not mean to say that she never had been proud of her country before, rather, she misspoke which human beings who are in spotlight do, she did not mean any harm. The only way to enhance enjoyment of freedom of speech by wives of candidates is to prepare some talking points or guidance to enable them tackle important issues with accuracy and clarity.

And if Michelle Obama can't stand the heat, then I suggest that she get out of the kitchen because if her husband should, by some quirk of fate, be elected prosident of these great united states. As the first lady, she will be even more open for even more, much worse critism if for no other reason than previous first ladies such as Laura Bush, Barbara Bush, and Nancy Reagan have set the bar so high... Hmm, just when was it we last had such a reputable DEMOCRATIC first lady.... Hmm, maybe Jackie Kennedy, yeah, Jackie can withstand the comparisons to Laura, Barbara and Nancy... but then if John Kennedy were alive today he would have been a Republican based upon his beliefs and policies..
