Somali adulterer killed; lover will be

MERCA, Somalia (UPI) -- A Somali adulterer has been stoned to death by Islamic fundamentalists, a fate awaiting his lover once she gives birth, an official says.

The BBC reported Friday Abas Hussein Abdirahman, 33, was killed in front of about 300 people in Merca. Al-Shabab official Sheik Suldan Aala Mohamed said Abdirahman had admitted his guilt before an Islamic court before his execution.

"He was screaming and blood was pouring from his head during the stoning. After 7 minutes he stopped moving," a witness told the BBC.

An official from the al-Shabab Islamic group said Abdirahman's girlfriend would be killed after she has had her baby, the British broadcaster said.

Somali President Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed said al-Shabab is harming Islam's image by killing people and harassing women.

"Their actions have nothing to do with Islam," the president, a moderate Muslim, said.

"They are forcing women to wear very heavy clothes, saying they want them to properly cover their bodies but we know they have economic interests behind -- they sell these kinds of clothes and want to force people to buy them."

Deism teaches that the only word of God is the Creation. But some, perhaps, will say: Are we to have no Word of God - no revelation? I answer, Yes; there is a Word of God; there is a revelation. The Word of God is the creation we behold and it is in this word, which no human invention can counterfeit or alter, that God speaks universally to man. It is only in the Creation that our ideas and conceptions of a Word of God can unite. The Creation speaks a universal language, independently of human speech or human languages, multiplied and various as they are. It is an ever-existing original, which every man can read. It can't be forged; it cannot be counterfeited; it cannot be lost; it cannot be altered; nor, can it be suppressed. It does not depend upon the will of man whether it shall be published or not; it publishes itself from one end of the heavens to the other. It preaches to all nations and to all worlds; and this Word of God reveals to man all that is necessary for man to know of God.

How sad a story. The issue of stoning is one thing but 300 spectator? Oh my! What is it about whoever has not sinned may cast the first stone? Noe I feel for a baby predestine to be an orphan. I am thankful I was not born into the Muslim religion.

Deism, whatever that is.

From the word it would seem Deism is belief in God, but things get so twisted on this forum that the straight forward is not always what it seemss.

How sad Verhoeven that you have shuttered your God given mind by petty legalities. Open your mind to the wonder of God's universe and you will see and hear him, often and clearly. It took me 53 years but it's true, to my personal knowledge.

Islam

Yes, the religion of peace (spelled murder) strikes again. Do they think, that if they keep telling us that all these murders are not really representative of Islam that we will believe it? When you read the word stoning in the sentence did you think of Catholics? Jews? Baptists? Nope, we all knew who did what to whom. It is the Muslims and it is anyone who gets in their way. We need to ship them back to the midEast and keep them there. They deserve the place.

revealed religion

When God speaks to everyone, He is speaking to each person, individually. Jesus Christ came to reveal God to us perfectly. His message to you is from God, directly. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it is right. Selfishness is natural. Sin is natural, if your nature is corrupted by pride. To reject Jesus Christ is to say no to the Word of God, and thus, to God.
