Rabbi: Europe needs religion
Sacks, in a lecture to a religious think-tank, Theos, said European secularism makes fundamentalism stronger, The Times of London reported.
A return to the Judeo-Christian tradition of religion willing to accommodate differences is "the only strong enough defense with some of the religiosity that is coming our way with the force of a hurricane," he said.
Sacks, 61, heads the United Synagogue, the largest Jewish congregation in Britain. He has been honored with the title Baron Sacks of Aldgate.
Comparing Europe to classical Greece during its decline, Sacks said secularism encourages a quest for gratification and discourages people from making the sacrifices needed to be parents. Europe is both the most secular region in the world and the only one with a shrinking population, he added.
"That is where Europe is today," he said. "That is one of the un-sayable truths of our time. We are undergoing the moral equivalent of climate change and no one is talking about it."

Europe needs religion?
After the US "embraced religion" in the 80's, the nation grew increasingly evil. From our welfare "reform" to our belligerence toward the international community, we have adopted a full range of domestic and international policies that are in direct opposition to Christ's teachings. I really don't think that Europe, or anywhere else, needs this kind of religion.

American secularists
American secularists are active here - on this board, just read their attacks on religion. It is quite the "in" thing to believe no one needs a church or religion -just a private faith or belief. That is clearly their choice, as is athiesm. However, if they profess to be Christian, they should realize that Christ believed they DID need a church, so he said " ''Upon this rock I will build(or found) my church". Do they think they are wiser than Christ ?

Religion is the Worship of an object/person, real or imagined, by a person/group. Be it an imaginary GOD, or a life stlye. From MONEY, to SEX, to any form of LUXURY. There is no BRUSH wide enough to paint it with. In our modern day society, it is nothing more than an OPINION. And we all know what OPINIONS are likened to!

Europe needs Religion
Europe has to many religions...one more religion will not make a difference. What Europe needs is, to follow Ten Commandments of God...to read Bible as it is written and stop changing the word of God...(to many versions)...to receive a blessing!
European nations need to bow down to God Almighty and ask him for future direction. He who lives in Heaven knows everything! The evil politics that destroys people and nature...all these wars and instability...some people on this Earth think they can rule Heaven and the Earth....They call themselves Holy (taking title that only belongs to God, which is evil). They forgetting about God (the Creator of the Universe)who is closely watching what is happening on the Earth and stepping in when is needed. God in Heaven! is our Savior, He is the Holy Father of all nations! God Almighty!!!Merciful God!!!
