Ummmm...I am not a fundamentalist Christian, but I have heard many times that those whose knees don't bow and whose tongues don't confess that Jesus Christ is Lord will receive a fate worse than death. The wages of sin is death. If someone offends you, kill him, kill his wife, kill his children, kill his slaves and servants, salt his fields, destroy all his livestock and effectively erase his whole existence from any memory or record.
If Lot and his wife and all who walked with them looked back at Sodom and Gomorrah, they would be turned to salt - oh, gee and look what happened. That naughty naughty naughty wife of Lot. Incest, murder, lust, greed, covetousness, theft, infidelity, adultery, lust (they really liked lust) all committed in the name of God. And determined to be the will of God in the interpretation of Old and New Testament through old men as prophets...the only perfect man was Jesus. These prophets of old were also guilty of the sins committed every day. King David spent years killing everyone in the Middle East to expand his kingdom (not God's kingdom, but his own) only for it to be lost to others in violent wars.

Look to your own sins before condemning all of Islam for the acts of a few. Christianity has had its insane leaders who grab the headlines of the day and then are forgotten. There will be more of them in the future.

Muhammed had nothing to do with peace and reconciliation. His intention since founding Islam was to spread his religion around the world and if people would not accept his brand of religion their nation is to conquered and should refuse they are to be killed. Islam is okay if you accept it their way, you will be treated with Kindness, but if you refuse Islam and/or not practice it to their liking you will be killed. While there are people in Judaism and Christianity who killed in the name of religion basically they are religion of peace as Christ himself taught, but Muhammed didn't teach this in their Qu'ran. Islam believes in forced conversion, and if you don't convert you can be tortured or even killed if continue to refuse.
