Kennedy under fire for healthcare support
Bishop Thomas J. Tobin of the Providence Diocese in Rhode Island also criticized Kennedy, son of the late U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, for recent comments the senator made regarding the Catholic Church's opposition to the abortion component, The Boston Globe reported Saturday.
"I can't understand for the life of me how the Catholic Church could be against the biggest social justice issue of our time, where the very dignity of the human person is being respected by the fact that we're caring and giving healthcare to the human person -- that right now we have 50 million people who are uninsured," Kennedy said in an article published Thursday.
Tobin countered Friday, saying the comments from Kennedy were "irresponsible and ignorant of the facts."
"But the congressman is correct in stating that he 'can't understand,'" Tobin added. "He got that part right."
The Globe said Tobin is seeking an apology from Kennedy, 42, for his remarks. A spokeswoman for the senator had no comment on the matter.

Do most of you understand, that the Christian writings were taken from the Jewish writings; and the Muslim writings were taken from both, the Jewish and Christian writings? Have any of you even read these books, or, are you are content with the rantings of people who want your money?

Yes, God speaks to us through his Word-The Bible. He also speaks to us through other people, those to whom He has given the Spiritual Gifts.
(1 Corinthians 12)
Many Roman Catholics have received the "Baptism, or release of The Holy Spirit," when they have turned their lives over to Jesus and have had "hands laid on them" and were prayer over by others, including priests.
One of the first Spiritual gifts they receive, is "prayer in tongues." As they read the Bible daily, and worship God at "Charismatic" Prayer Meetings and conferences, God will give them other gifts.
Praise God!

God CAN talk to you too if you read His word in the Bible. You CAN be blessed like Pat, RH, Moses and Job and me too if you lower yourself to read the Bible with attention and an open mind.
