The Christian God (of Abraham , Isaac and Jacob )is not the same as the false Gods of other religions; Allah of the moslems, the millions of Gods of the Hindus, and Buddists don't have a God just "Nirwana". So having pretended that all religions are the same.. the Chuch of England now fear that the Government and others believe that it is so.
They have compromised on allowing homosexuals and pagans to be ordained as Priests; in compromising with government; in allowing Bills like the embryo Bill go unopposed in Parliament;in condoning "gay" marriages; in worshipping a d praying with other religions (as if they are the same God). There have been no protests about Iraq, Afghanistan.. about Somalia, Sudan, Zimbabwe.. from our courageous Christian leaders.
No protests about the filth on tv and screen. No protests about immorality (even though the pregnancy rate is the worst among teenagers in the world.
In other words... NO LEADERSHIP ! God help us ..
and please send us another Wesley or Luther.

However, just look around; it isn't just Britian who is 'rejecting Christ and His Church. Look at 'so-called 'christian america' whose predominate position has become anti-christian, ie:
ACCEPTANCE , and Government PROMOTION, of abortion as 'pro-choice'; sodomy as an acceptable 'alternative life-style, and pornography as 'freedom of speech and expression.... not to mention the 'forcing' ,by means of legislation, of these unGodly practices on those who disagree.
I applaud the Church of England for their 'efforts' Hopefully it'll 'rub off' on America---- however, I fear it's all 'too little, too late.'

The enemy of all our souls has always had a two fold strategy against the Truth as it is in Jesus Christ. Attack from without and attack from within. If the first fails be expecting the latter. Sadly, secular UK politicians and others facilitate defeats while blindly thinking they are encouraging liberty. The very opposite of their intention is true as witnessed by all the countries where the "politically favored" religion reigns. May the Lord give them sight before it is too late.

It is absolutely astonishing that the people of England would renounce Christianity and embrace Muslims who want to take over their society. Why would a nation that showed such bravery against Nazi Germany in the past demonstrate cowardice toward the Muslims among them who want to subjugate them now? And how could the British have become so spiritually blind as to reject Jesus Christ and His church? Amazing and tragic.

If I am the only one to see that one person in charge of what is right in religion is just the next step to one world religion. There is no way both religions can act together and bring peace: as Rodney King said " why can't we all just get along". Because we can not, nor will we. We pray for their salvation and they pray for our deaths. Do not be fooled.

But to put another take on it, I find it a little surprising, since it often seems that folks in the Anglican Communion are rather unclear on just what they believe. Europe in general should recognize the Christian roots of European culture or what was not accomplished by military means in the Middle Ages will be accomplished by immigration and capitulation now.

Today it is politically correct to be negative towards Christianity and Judaism and favorable to Islam. EDveryone knows trhjat Islam is a religion of hate, terror and murder, but they will not speak out. Fear? Possibly ... but mingled with stupidity. If Chreistyianity lets itself be treated in this manner, it will be a very few years before Christianity is outlawed and all will be forced to becomne Muslims. God help us!

I have to comment.But can you tell us cranky old codgers in seattle here just what is goverment secularism? What does it mean? What does this church wants us to do? Look,we feel that there has been lately too much empahsis on religion.If anyone wants to return to the Dark Ages,that is fine,but I happen to like my freedom.Lets stop all of this born again and religion nonsense.The people are now dividied and we must unite them.And religion mixed with politics do not mix.

Finally! I have noticed how here in America, it seems the founding fathers' Christian faith is becoming the least accepted and most scorned, which equals biting the hand that fed us to maturity. Now we're too arrogant and too big "for our britches", which history proves will be our guaranteed downfall. All the great kingdoms of the past did not fall over night (Egypt, Rome, Greece,etc) but over a period of constant chiseling derision. If we desire to preserve this nation, we must preserve our originals standars and values!

European countries which for centuries have been mostly Christian, now seem to be very fearful of Muslims. They are catering to their whims, afraid of riots and violence.

Now is the time to tell immigrants they must obey the laws of their host country. If they do not, deport them.

Here, Here! It is is also happening here in the United States too. We can't pray in certain places, but the Muslims seem to have a privilege to pray their 5 times a day no matter where they are. I have nothing wrong with that, but that should also extend to us Christians as well as Jews too.
