I've had alot of experiance with Cats, I too had a cat of 15 years who would nurse me back to health by just being there with me when everyone was too scared to be near me or couldn't because it was 2 in the morning and i was throwing up and she would just be with me from bathroom to bed for the company (you don't sleep much when sick) I also know my sister who was able to get over a divorce and get back into shape with the help of her dog. I think all animals are compassionate in their own way, you just need to have the heart to see it.

Oh, come on, people.... comparing dogs to cats is like comparing apples to oranges. They BOTH have their lovable, endearing qualities. (It just depends on their individual personalities, just like people.)

I think both animals have their quirks but i don't believe that cats are insensitive to feelings like the comment before I also had a cat who I lived with for 15 years and even when no one would help you because it was 2 in the morning and you were throwing up the cat would be there just to sit by my side and walk back to the bed with me to keep me company because i couldn't sleep. I don't have much experience with dogs my self by my sister got over a divorce and got back into shape with the help of her dog. All Animals have a compasionate heart you just have to be willing to see it.
