Obama's tour
People give the man his due. He is traveling all over, to get the lay of the land. After all McCain said he wasn't up on the situation there, so he is going there. As a result he will not be available to vote on any contraversal issues that may come up. Another smart move! He gets to stay in the news, and stay out of trouble! This guy is a great campaigner! Don't promise anything much, but keep your name in front of the people, being seen as doing something important. Smart move.

Obama is only as good as his words. So far his words don't count for anything. He is making speeches that he nows the people that are there want to here. The real truth is he has no way of or intention of honering anything in his speeches. He is not for America he is agenst everything that America stands for.I hope that the American people will see threw the staged speeches before this Nov. as we don't need a Muslum in the White House. My vote will go for a real 1st for Presadent Ralph Nader Indapendent for a real change.

Obama is nothing but an empty suit. The democrats rave about his great oratorical ability but he never says anything of substance & no one can name any great or profound statement he has made. To put a man who recently was a state senator in the white house is insanity. To offer a "Free" health care entitlement when the nation is already bankrupt is also insanity. The U.S. will cease to exist before Obama's first term is over. Of course, that is actually what many democrats want anyway.

I can not vote for this person... He is a Socialist by his own words. He has stated he will raise taxes. He seems to be leering down at me in most of his pictures. He has NO history of any knowlege of what I fought for in the military and the Veitnam war. All his freinds say they dislike to hate my America. Since all of this is important to me and I want my America for my offspring and theirs- - how can I vote for some one that is so counter to what I believe for the future USA? MFA

Obama's Iraq visit
First of all, I'd like to know who Gracie views as the puppet master for Obama?
I agree entirely with Gumboy. And, for the first time in at least 8 years, I think Americans will be very proud of how we are represented abroad. It appears that folks like Crone and Gracie just don't understand how our current administration has damaged us in the rest of the world.
Crone, I don't think you've been listening very well. McCain is a nice man, but definitely not up on economics (as he admits) and his experience as a POW (while admirable) gave him no special insight into this era of our history. All of this is followed by the fact that he has never been known for being able to articulate his views on anything.
Obama's speeches have been anything but hollow rhetoric! He has the youth, the charisma, the intelligence, the education and the oratorical ability seldom seen anywhere in the world! He is a formidable candidate and I firmly believe that you are grossly underestimating him.
Republicans, get to work! Stop using the tired old hackneyed phrases, and, be very afraid-----

Obama on tour
Oh dear, is he going abroad to crank out his hollow rhetoric and serve more waffles and retractions and show the rest of the world how well he can back pedal?

Obama will gain by this trip
Obama, who is very popular internationally, will gain more support by this trip, and with his gift for inspiration and speeches, he will be adored internationally. This will undoubtly have an effect on the American people for the elections. There will be a shift in the polls if the trip is sucessful and he will use this momentum to springboard his campain into all 5o states with all his campaign money. A very bold move on Obama's part.
