Use Technology to Get Organized
My tip helps keep kids with extra-curricular activites organized. Instead of asking your kid upon arriving home, "Have you done this, this, or that?" make up a calendar on Excel. with a list of the things your child needs to do daily i.e. clean the ferret cage, practice music, do homework, take out the trash. You can use fun Microsoft symbols like smiley face and put them at the beginning of each item that needs to be done on that day. You can copy and paste each week to the next week and make changes where needed.
I put my calendar on the fridge. This way everyone knows what has to be done everyday.
The month and dates are easily changed, so you can leave a list of things 'to be done', and print out the next month. You can also add new things on each day and add 'Notes' with lines at the bottom to write in any extras for the month.
