Homework: Sit Down with Your Kids
When your child gets home from school, sit down and talk with them about their day instead of simply telling them to do their homework. Find out the details of their assignments and focus on the most difficult task first. This way, homework is a 'downhill' process -- get the biggest challenge(s) out of the way and coast toward the finish line.
Also, let your child do the work on their own first, but stay available to help in case they run into trouble. This limits the frustration and anxiety attached with doing homework.
