Cartoonist Mel Lazarus started his career as an assistant to Al Capp on the comic strip "Li'l Abner," and started his first comic, "Miss Peach," in 1957. In 1970 he created his second comic, "Momma," and went on to win his first National Cartoonist Society Humor Comic Strip Award two years later...

Ya know, what she COULD do is call them up and act interested... ooh, they would be drooling... and then at the last minute say, "Oh, wait... I just saw something better on TV and I think I'll go for that instead."
