Pre explanation? Did you bother to stop and think how your words are annoying? Are you any better than Jeff? This is certainly not the way to stop him but only adds fuel to the fire!

They have tried to modernize it, but older people still remember(and the books help) as it was first printed then.

Hey,JJ: Umm, and the not so little kids that grew up since this comic was first invented. Remember, it's 50 or so years old! I was raising my little ones, just like the 4 little Keane kids so I can relate to a lot of it. I really like the comic now because it brings back many memories of my own kids at that time.and my own kids can enjoy it, cause they now know what they were like at that time. So, what else is new? Anyone can enjoy it!

I used to have a goldfish a long time ago, for several years. His name was Montegue, and he would let me pet him.

All you people whom have to write explanations to, I say stick it in your ear. Let the person reading the strip figure out their own explanation.

Pre-explanation...Dolly caught her brother "petting the fish" (i.e. with his hand in the fish bowl) and, like all good older siblings, wants to get him in trouble. So she "rats him out" by "asking a question." See...anyone can write out a lame explanation of a comic. But a picture is worth a thousand words (or explanations). It's just that the words are annoying.
