Lynda Hirsch has been recognized by newspapers, magazines, and even soap opera producers themselves as "the person who knows everything about daytime soaps." Her love of the genre started when she was a child, and her knowledge of daytime television earned her syndicated newspaper and magazine columns shortly after she graduated from Kent State University. Her expertise even landed her a special assignment helping the Smithsonian Institute with an exhibit on American culture in 1982. Over the years, she has appeared on daytime talk shows and hosted her own radio show, and is the only member of the mainstream press to have been named a voting member of the Soap Opera Hall of Fame.
Lynda Hirsch's column is published every weekend, featuring recaps of the week's soap operas and a sneak peek at the coming week's big plot twists.
