Known for their lively personality and mischievous senses of humour, Miniature Schnauzers are also highly loyal to their owner and can be very energetic. An excellent protector of his home, the breed is often guarded of strangers. However, they're very good with children who don't attempt too much rough play.Because a Miniature Schnauzer can take commands and learn quickly they're easy to train. However, they require a great deal of attention and affection. Miniature Schnauzers can be very independent and have been known to be practical jokers, but it's all in fun. Remember that they dogs were bred as ratters so they're very intelligent and, if not given the proper outlet, can become little terrors.
