Tales from the ArcaMax Chef
Over the years, I have tried just about every method, gimmick, tool, system and any other type of plan or gadget to make it easier to get rid of the leaves. I have a garage full of blowers, suckers, mulchers, sweepers, tarps, bags, and bins "specially designed for leaf removal".
Unfortunately, none of this stuff works. At the end of the day, as with so many other things in life, there is nothing as effective as hard work with a regular old rake and some clear leaf bags.
I have fought the leaf removal process for years and years. However, over the past few years my position has softened. You see, there is something good and right about spending a few hours raking and bagging in the cool fall air under the trees. I have the free gift of being able to listen to the breeze rustling in the trees and through the leaves on the ground and get a good work out at the same time.
Believe me when I say that I mean nothing political with the next few comments. As our country has been at war over the past eight years, I have seen many of our best and brightest come home terribly maimed and injured. It finally dawned on me that these brave men and women would love to be able to hold a rake with both hands and do the hard work to rake and bag leaves. Given the sacrifice that these patriots have made for all of us, the last thing you will hear me complain about is a little physical labor.
God Bless America.
Enjoy!

Our Blessed Troops
Thank you for saying what you did about our troops. They never get as much appreciation as they deserve. I had 2 sons in Iraq and thankfully they came home safe, but we know that so many did not. My one sons best friend was killed there, a young 22 year old. It is heartbreaking every time they report another one has lost their life. i pray for them all to come home soon.

removal of tree leaves
Why do you want to remove the tree's food supply and get rid of it? It belongs to the tree. The tree made it's leaves and even after falling to the ground the leaves still belong to the tree. They will cease to be a nuisance when you realize that as they rot, they are returned as food to the tree. The Leaves contain all the nutrients that the tree needs for LIFE and watering the tree is secondary to allowing the tree to feed on it's own rotting leaves. Please be kind to your tree who provides the shade from the hot Sun all day and makes your oxygen as well. Your tree needs your kind understanding as well as your love. Love your tree, fully. Love, Jim

LEAVES
I especially appreciated this one. I always loved to rake leaves but can't do it any more as I am on a walker. I am thankful for the walker and all my other conveniences and pray for our troops that they might be helped in every way.
I am always disappointed when TALES FROM THE ARCAMAX CHEF doesn't appear.
