VIDEO: Converse 'All Wah' sneaker includes built-in guitar pedal

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Converse unveiled a sneaker with a built in guitar pedal to allow musicians to keep a piece of equipment with them at all times.
The "Chuck Taylor All Wah," developed by wearable tech company Cute Circuit, features the silhouette of the brand's classic Chuck Taylor sneaker containing micro-sensor technology that allows the shoe to act as a guitar pedal.
"Simply move your foot as you would using a traditional Wah pedal, and the sneaker does the rest, communicating wirelessly via Bluetooth to the Wah Box for the Wah effect," Cute Circuit's website states. The All Wah can be used in a classic stage set-up with an Amp or connected to a MAC or iPhone.
Converse released a video of Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis testing out the shoe where he can be seen plugging an amp cord into the sole of the shoe.
The concept for the shoe was originally presented as a prototype by Critical Mass in 2013 during a "Chuck Hack" event.
